Forestry mulching is an efficient and eco-friendly method of clearing land. Our state-of-the-art mulching equipment, including both drum and disc mulchers, grinds trees, brush, and vegetation into mulch, leaving behind a nutrient-rich layer that promotes healthy soil. This process not only clears your land but also helps prevent erosion and promotes new growth.

Drum mulchers are cylindrical attachments covered in hardened steel or carbide teeth. They are excellent for cutting and mulching small trees and underbrush, grinding down stumps and producing a refined mulch. Drum mulchers are ideal for processing large amounts of trees and brush at once, making them perfect for extensive land clearing projects. Drum mulching throws and launches less debris during operation vs a disc mulcher. It is the recommended choice for work close to buildings, active roads or other objects.

Disc brush cutters/mulchers feature a large disc equipped with blades and/or mulching teeth. They are particularly effective for cutting large areas of thick underbrush, grass and small trees that do not need to be mulched as finely as utilizing a drum mulcher, thus they are known for their high productivity. They generally process material faster than drum mulchers while producing a more coarser finished product. Disc machines due a phenomenal job, but they can launch debris up to 300’ and need to be operated in a more controlled environment clear of buildings and other objects.

Both types of machines have their strengths and are suited for different tasks. The choice between drum and disc mulching will depend on your specific needs and the nature of the land you are working on. On specific projects they also work well in conjunction with each other.
