Forestry mulching is an efficient and eco-friendly method of clearing land. Drum mulchers are cylindrical attachments covered in hardened steel or carbide teeth. They are excellent for cutting and mulching vegetation and underbrush, producing a more refined mulch. Drum mulchers can be ideal for processing large amounts of vegetation and brush at once, making them perfect for selective clearing and maintenance in between trees. 

Disc brush cutters/mulchers are particularly effective for cutting large areas of thick underbrush, grass and small trees that do not need to be mulched as finely as utilizing a drum mulcher, thus they are known for their high productivity. They generally process material faster than drum mulchers while producing a more coarser finished product.
